“Glenn Langohr’s new book: Don’t Hate Me Because I’m White: A Rebuttal to White Privilege And The Drug War purchase here http://amzn.to/2yyhLjk is an honest look at addiction, drug crime and a revolving door prison life through the eyes of someone who lived it. Its a raw, eye-opening look inside the Criminal Justice System in California that gets into conviction rates that soar as high as 99%, which Glenn argues, leaves no room for racially targeting people of color. In another example during Glenn’s heaviest drug case, he had a top of the line attorney, who admitted he couldn’t defend him do to the pressure of the D.A. Also, in that case Glenn had to study case law to understand the 3 strikes law better and fleshes out a clear picture of how “tough on crime politics” was funded by the California Prison Union, which again removes race as an issue in relation to mass incarceration.

Glenn spent over 10 years in California’s prisons on 4 trips. He was just as aggressive as a prisoner as he was as a drug criminal. Don't Hate Me 7 PrintFUNNYBLACKGUY

Glenn shines a light on the solution, using his own recovery and that of a Black friend of his, who were able to make it out of the addiction and prison cycle. He points out nonprofits that are working also like Homeboy Industries and DEFY inc.

If I have one negative thing to say it would be that I wish Glenn would have expanded his book to include statistics outside of California. I was given this book free from the author for an honest review.”
